Jesus’ first instruction to each of His disciples was to ‘come follow me’. He then spent the next three years alongside, teaching and preparing them for His final command to ‘go and make disciples’. Many years and generations later we still find that these invitations before us.
The question we are now faced with is: ‘will we obey?’ Our western culture and its influence over us means we must hold the weightiness of such a question and make a decision.
At Red Church, we feel the weight and significance of Jesus’s call to be His disciples in our era. Our invitation to you is to come with open and ready hearts to join us as we all take the next step towards and with Him.
It is our desire to provide you with a simple process that enables you to connect and explore your faith wherever you are at.
NEW TO RED
If you haven’t already, come join us on a Sunday at one of our gatherings. We strongly value our weekly rhythm of meeting together as a church and worshipping our God. We have three Sunday services across two locations in Melbourne. Click here to find out more.
After the service you’ll have an opportunity to meet with some of our team in our Connect space to ask any preliminary questions before taking the next step.
Every three months we host an evening for those new to Red Church to hear and learn about who we are, where God is leading us and what it could mean to make Red your home church. Red 101 proves to be an essential step in orientating yourself to Red and it’s also a great opportunity to meet other new people.

NEW TO FAITH
If you are new to faith, have a bunch of questions and/or want to explore the basics of the Christian faith – join our next Alpha Course. Alpha is a 12-week course exploring life and the Christian faith in an open, friendly and informal environment. If you want to understand more about following Jesus, we would love to host you at the next course. No pressure. No follow-up. No charge.

Launching at the beginning of the year, we host groups who meet all together for the duration of the year (breaking for school holidays). Over the course of the first year, you’ll be invited to go deeper with Jesus, grow in relationship with those around you, eat in each other’s homes, practice spiritual disciplines, and much more.
If you’ve come part way through the year, there are still opportunities to join these groups.

The following year groups will continue meeting together in designated homes continuing the rhythms and practices from the first year. These gatherings are much more than a social connection or a bible study (not that these are bad things), they are the core way of actively and obediently apprenticing ourselves to Jesus. Where possible we seek to include and engage children and families in these groups as well.
Meeting in gender-specific groups of three people, Triads are a simple, accessible and effective way to engage with the Bible and the Holy Spirit together. They are designed so you can meet anytime, anywhere and are centred around the life-giving authority of the Bible and allowing it to speak into our lives. Being self-directed, Triads can commence at any stage however we would strongly encourage you to attend a ‘Triad Basics’ as some stage through the year to best set yourselves up for an effective Triad experience.
