I’m New
If you’re new to Red Church, Christianity or faith in general, you are always welcome at any of our services.
To help you settle in, here’s some helpful steps to take:
Attend a Sunday Service
Join us for worship, teaching and fellowship at one of our Sunday services. After the service, come and say hello at our connect space – we’d love to get to know you and answer any questions you might have. We suggest coming consistently for six weeks to help get a true feel of church life here at Red.

Sign up for a Red101
Every few months we host a space for those new to Red Church to hear and learn about who we are, where God is leading us and what it could mean to make Red your home church. Red 101 proves to be an essential step in orientating yourself to Red and it’s also a great opportunity to meet other new people.

Sign up for Alpha – if you’re exploring or new to faith
If you are new to faith, have a bunch of questions and/or want to explore the basics of the Christian faith – join our next Alpha Course. Alpha is a 12-week course exploring life and the Christian faith in an open, friendly and informal environment. If you want to understand more about following Jesus, we would love to host you at the next course. No pressure. No follow-up. No charge.
We’ll be hosting our next Alpha during the second half of 2020.
If you have begun attending Red Church, we’d love to get to know you.

Next Steps
After you have had some time to settle in, we suggest taking these next steps:

Join a Huddle
As our mission statement acknowledges, we want to be people awakened to Christ’s message and be equipped to live faith in real life. We are not called to do this alone. We are God’s people. Jesus’ body. And not just on a Sunday.
A Huddle is a group of four people of the same gender, centred around the presence of God, His Word (the Bible), contending prayer, and to go and follow Jesus in your everyday.

Volunteer
Red is passionate about seeing people active and fruitful in the gifts God has given them. Volunteering is an important way that we can foster this as a church. As it says in 1 Corinthians 12, there are all kinds of gifts but we are united by the same Spirit who is the source of them all and we all serve the same Lord. No matter where you are on your walk with Jesus; we desire to help you identify your gifts and see you given opportunity to use them to participate in what God wants to do in and through you here at Red. We see volunteering here at Red as part of the broader mission of Jesus’ Church being established and influential here in Melbourne.

Commit to regular giving
As a church we believe that everything we have is a gift from God, including our finances. Giving is a response to the generosity we have been shown. When Jesus talked about money, he urged people to prioritise their investment in the unseen world. The generosity of our congregations allows us to pursue the vision the God has for Red Church.
